Microsoft Endpoint Management Consultant

    

  

All XMS Solutions positions are 100% Remote with potential for up to 30% travel based on client/project requirements. 

Positions are for Direct Hire roles, not Contract.

The Microsoft Endpoint Management Consultant is an expert in the implementation and management of mobile device management (MDM) solutions. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, the Consultant will gather detailed customer requirements, translate them into a functional design and implement a final solution.

The successful candidates will work as part of the Professional Services team to provide expertise and solutions to customers to meet their business needs. Excellent communication skills as well as technical ability are crucial to the role. An ability to ensure quality service delivery and a determination to professionally accomplish complex projects with tight timelines is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Direct communication with client organizations to discover and identify business needs and developer relevant use cases, evaluate and document risks, governance approaches, and complex business processes

· Lead clients in developing policies and procedures related to device management technology

· Implement and integrate software solutions or platforms to meet identified objectives

· Customize product functionality to fulfil customer requirements that cannot be met with standard functionality

· Troubleshoot, problem solve and resolve any potential issues between products and customer’s environments

· Develop best practices across privileged access management product suites

· Provide technical and business device management consulting services based on client requirements, including: 

o Intune plus SCCM (or legacy endpoint management solution) system design and implementation

o Intune plus SCCM (or legacy endpoint management solution) migrations and/or version upgrades

o Intune plus SCCM (or legacy endpoint management solution) troubleshooting and support

o Azure AD Conditional Access and device compliance

o Software package creation, troubleshooting, and validation

o Windows 10 operating system deployment design, creation, and execution (Autopilot and SCCM OSD)

o Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions and provide functional documentation for solutions

o Maintain a high level of subject matter and technical expertise

Essential Technical Skills

· Subject matter expert with at least three years of experience configuring Intune for device management

· Subject matter expert with at least five years of experience with architecting, building, and maintaining SCCM

· Subject matter expert with at least five years of experience with designing and building Windows operating system deployment solutions, including Windows 10

· Knowledge of Windows 10 operating system features and key upgrade requirements

· Experience with mobile device management

· Experience building software deployment packages

- Experience with Jamf is a plus

· Experience with administering device and user security in Active Directory and Azure AD

· Experience managing iOS, Android Enterprise, and macOS devices

Additional Requirements

 

· Prior Consulting experience

· CISSP certification

· Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals certification

· Exposure to Microsoft security solutions an advantage

· Experience with Microsoft PowerBI to build custom reports from Azure AD and Intune

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Industry experience
